Having opened his own lauded restaurant, Stovell’s, in Surrey in 2012, Fernando now brings his unique personality and style to the screen, having featured on a number of live TV shows including Saturday Kitchen, Market Kitchen for the BBC, Sky TV UK and MasterChef Mexico, TV Azteca.
Fernando was born and brought up in Mexico City but came to London in 1997 and, unknown to his father who thought he was pursuing a Business qualification, enrolled on a culinary course at Westminster Kingsway College.

Fernando has also been Executive European Chef to various heads of state, managing all catering whilst in residency in Europe, Africa & Middle East.
Functions were attended by illustrious guests including the British royal family, former British prime ministers and heads of state of various European countries.
Career highlights:
• Private Head Chef for the State Visit of Her Majesty the Queen and HRH Duke of Edinburgh to the Middle East in 2010; prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner every day as well as catering and in charge for banquets and special events.
• Cooking demonstration at the Sirha 2011, 2012 exhibition Bocuse D’Or, representing Bonnet Maestro and All Clad Iinea presentation for the late, legendary chef, Paul Bocuse
• Creating a 9-course tasting menu for press and VIP clients for the launch of Don Perignon Vintage 2000 at The Cuckoo Club alongside British two Michelin Star Chef John Campbell.
• Delivering a 45-minute presentation, Mexico on a Plate, for the Skillery at UK restaurant industry tradeshow, Hotelympia (2008).
• Regularly spends time with Bittor Arguinzoniz at the award winning Asador Extebarri in Spain (third in the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019), where Fernando can share his love of cooking over open fire with Victor and his talented team, including Lennox Hastie.
